Kony 2012

Hello all.

This blog is nothing more than to bring to your attention the Kony 2012 campaign.

Joseph Kony is the leader of a Ugandan guerrilla group leader, more specifically the leader of the Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda. This group kidnaps young children and turns them into young soldiers or sex slaves and despite this, he is not very well known around the world. I had never heard of him until 2 days ago.

Maybe the reason most had never heard of him or not much has been done until now is because there is no oil in Uganda and the world's leading countries are only interested in invading countries that do. They even say in the below film that America didn't want to step in and stop Kony because it's not beneficial to Americans......I bet it would be if there was oil involved somewhere. And that's nothing against the general American public, I have a lot of love for the American public and given that I am hoping to move to America soon, it's probably not the best idea to piss Americans off.

But anyway, the Kony 2012 campaign is designed to encourage the people of the world to help their governments see what Kony is doing and to finally put an end to it, especially as he is spreading out further into Africa. The sooner people start thinking beyond their own doorstep, the sooner people like this will be wiped out.

The below video explains it far better than I ever could, so spare 30 minutes of your time to watch it. I don't usually get involved in these sort of things, but this film got me interested in the cause and if it can get me interested, it can get all of you interested as well.
